Dr. Heinz Brandenburg is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Strathclyde. He joined the university in 2013 after receiving his PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Before joining Strathclyde, he taught at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and the University of Aberdeen. His research focuses on elections and party politics, particularly the role of mass media in elections in Britain and elsewhere, as well as in the Scottish referendum campaign of 2014. He also teaches classes on research methodology and the role of political parties.
